With a background in acting, singing and dancing in her Teens, Karine landed a record deal with Telstar and released a single which topped the European club charts at No.1. With the video hitting TMF’s Top Ten videos and regularly aired on MTV and Pete Tong’s Radio 4 Essential Playlist, Karine caught the attention of Simon Cowell who urged her to compete on Pop Idol.
Instead, Karine found her love for acting drawing her away from the Music Industry and landing her a role alongside Caroline Quentin in ‘Life Begins’, Michael Radford’s ‘Addicted To The Stars’, Brit flick ‘GBH’ and recently, Danny Huston’s directorial debut, The Last Photograph. Her theatre credits include playing ‘Seta’ the lead female in ‘Beast On The Moon’, a play about the Armenian Genocide directed by Giles Croft at Nottingham Playhouse and lead female in ‘Hole In The Heart’ at Theatro Technis.
Having just submitted her first short film into the TriForce Film Festival (which she wrote, starred in, filmed and edited on her iPhone) Karine plans to begin filming her feature length film. She is currently finishing writing her one woman show and is embarking on setting up her own film company and looks forward to more acting and also collaborating with other creatives on future projects.
