Courted” by writer and director Andres Heger- Bratterud, was ECFF’s first longer short filmed in Earl’s Court in 2017. The film follows Stuart, a 72 year old Jehovahs Witness with a secret he’s been hiding since childhood.  When he eventually gets exposed by his religious community for seeing another man in secret, his dilemma starts to crystallise, and he is forced to make a very difficult choice.

“The film is also a BAFTA qualifying film festival, which we are delighted about.” Sean Duffy, co-director of the festival says “It’s is all about Earl’s Court and community as we continue to bring colour and vibrancy into our neighbourhood through drama and film.”
